Portfolio Self-Reflection

For my studies, I had to create a portfolio. This took place at school, and I was the only one involved. The goal was to develop a portfolio that could demonstrate my learning outcomes.

My task was to build the portfolio entirely from scratch. In this project, I took on the role of both designer and developer. I was expected not only to create a good portfolio but also to gather and apply enough feedback. My goal was to collect enough material that aligned with the required learning outcomes. I also had a plan: I knew I needed to start by creating wireframes.

I'm currently still working on the portfolio. My approach involved designing wireframes and actively asking for feedback from my target audience. I hesitated at first about whether or not to ask for feedback, because I found it a bit intimidating. But I pushed through and did it anyway. I actively contributed by creating designs and organizing feedback moments.

As a result of my actions, I received valuable feedback, which had a positive impact on my work and the process overall. It helped me move forward and also created a professional atmosphere where there was room for improvement and collaboration. My contribution directly influenced the quality of the final product.

The outcome of my actions was what I hoped for: I received feedback I could immediately use. I learned that it's important to write down feedback right away and apply it as soon as possible. This experience relates to several professional competencies, such as collaboration, self-reflection, and product development. I believe I performed well in these areas.

This situation could definitely happen again in the future. If it does, I would take the same approach: ask for feedback early, listen carefully, and apply it immediately. I've realized that this method helps me improve my work. What I take with me for next time is to pay even closer attention to feedback and really try to understand its purpose so I can keep improving.

LO5: Personal leadership
I justify this as a LO5 because I believe I have learned from this experience during the brand guide project and will carry this learning forward into future projects.

Using the STARRT method for reflection: Situation, Task, Action, Result and Reflection. A friend introduced me for this method.

Now I will use that method to write my reflection, however I will have to remove a part of the STARRT method due not related to the actual reflection.
